Impacts

Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) impacts

It is indisputable that the Rosemont Mine would significantly impact Southern Arizona. The Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the project makes this clear and lists the below areas that would be significantly affected by the proposed mine (page numbers are listed for your reference). Click the links at the right to read a summary about each subject. You can download a copy of the DEIS as well as submit comments online at www.RosemontEIS.us.

The docs below available for download are resources to help you wade through (and comment on) the major areas of impacts found within the DEIS. Below also is a list of major areas of concern and corresponding page numbers within the DEIS.

Oral arguments for our case before the 9th Circuit Appeals Court were held on February 1, 2021. Because of COVID, the oral arguments were virtual, and we could listen in. You can watch the recording here.

We cannot predict when we will hear a decision, but we expect to have to wait several months.
