Listen to Friday’s hearing (March 22) on our lawsuit against the Arizona State Land Department

This coming Friday at 10:00 AM there will be an Order to Show Cause hearing in Maricopa Superior Court regarding our lawsuit against the Arizona State Land Department, Board of Appeals for not adhering to Open Meeting Laws.

Our lawsuit was filed because we believe that the land department improperly approved a Right of Way (ROW) along part of the state’s Santa Rita Experimental Range for Hudbay’s proposed Copper World mining project in the Santa Rita Mountains. Hudbay wants the ROW so that it can pipe a slurry of tailings from its Copper World pits to where it can pile the tailings on Hudbay’s private land near Corona de Tucson.
