Pima County releases report on impact of dust on human health

The Pima County Health Department was planning to make a presentation to the Board of Supervisors at is Dec. 16 meeting on a proposed ordinance to limit the number of trucks that can travel each day on unpaved county roads. The ordinance was pulled from the board’s agenda before the department could make its presentation.


The department’s slide show was subsequently published on the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors website. The report focuses on the incidence of Valley Fever in Pima County where more than 1,400 people have been seriously sickened by the airborne disease in 2025.
