Hudbay Minerals, which is seeking to develop the Copper World Complex here in Southern Arizona’s Santa Rita Mountains, saw its share price plunge more than 8% today on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges, according to public market data. Shares closed at C$5.77 in Toronto, down 8.4%. Shares closed at US$4.44 in New York, down 8.8%.
Hudbay’s share price is down 20% and 24% in Toronto and New York, respectively, over the past month. The mining company released its preliminary economic assessment for its Copper World Complex on June 8.
