Hudbay claims to be ready to start work on west side of Santa Ritas

A feature story in the Arizona Daily Star on April 6, 2022 by Tony Davis explains that Hudbay Minerals Inc., a Canadian mining company and parent of Rosemont Copper, is prepared to begin grading and other earthworks in its Copper World area of operations, on private land, located on the west side of the Santa Rita Mountains and just a few miles from the Sahuarita Highlands subdivision.

Litigation Update

Oral arguments for our case before the 9th Circuit Appeals Court were held on February 1, 2021. Because of COVID, the oral arguments were virtual, and we could listen in. You can watch the recording here.

We cannot predict when we will hear a decision, but we expect to have to wait several months.
