Paige Humphrey
Outreach Coordinator

Paige is an environmental educator by trade and a naturalist at heart, living in unending amazement that we share this magnificent Sonoran Desert home with all sorts of wacky and wonderful creatures. They’re proud to serve as Outreach Coordinator for Save the Scenic Santa Ritas, where they can meaningfully engage community members in protecting our valued natural and cultural resources.
Prior to joining the team at SSSR, they taught at the Cooper Center for Environmental Learning (also known as Camp Cooper), helping young learners of all abilities and backgrounds feel a sense of belonging in both our human and ecological communities. Following this, Paige held a two year role at Ironwood Tree Experience, where they designed and led programs for high school students to develop confidence and build professional skills through community action projects, completed alongside local environmental advocates. Paige is committed to the lifelong practice of keeping accessibility and social justice at the center of their efforts.
Paige can often be found tending their garden plot, playing with their dogs, or riding bikes with friends around Tucson. They hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Kansas State University and will happily talk your ear off about plants, fiber arts, and dog training.
