There are two upcoming public meetings to learn more and voice your concerns and we are asking any and all members of this community to show up! The first is a community meeting which will include an ADEQ Staff Presentation with a Q&A to follow. No public comments will be heard at this meeting.

On July 15, 2024, the comment period opened for the proposal to issue an air quality control permit to Copper World, Inc. for the construction and operation of Hudbay’s Copper World Project in the Santa Rita Mountains.
The comment period for the proposal to issue a Class II Air Quality Permit to Copper World, Inc. is July 15, 2024 – Sept. 15, 2024.
