Come hear the latest on the Copper World mining project in the Santa Rita Mountains, including the status of permits, land sales, lawsuits, etc… Learn the truth about the economic impact of this project, and find out what YOU can do to stop the destruction!

ABOUT THE SIERRA CLUB NOPALES GROUP:
The local Sierra Club group based in Tucson has made a fresh start with a new name. Started in the 1970s as the Rincon Group, it reorganized as the Nopales Group in 2023. The Nopales Group focuses on engaging with the southern Arizona community to protect our environment and ensure everyone in our community feels represented, and works towards implementing the Grand Canyon Chapter’s Equity Trail Map, a guide to ensuring the work of the Sierra Club is focused on equity and inclusion and creates a welcoming space for a wide variety of people.
