Prayer Run for the Santa Ritas

Prayer Run for the Santa Ritas is a short documentary film highlighting the Tohono O'odham people's connection to the Santa Rita Mountains and their opposition to the proposed Copper World mining project.

Marlinda Francisco runs in the Santa Rita Mountains, in her language Ce:wi Doag, a part of the Tohono O'odham ancestral lands, near the site of the old Rosemont mine. With the sunrise, her run is blessed by Austin Nuñez, Chairman of the San Xavier District, Tohono O'odham Nation, also attended by Gayle Hartmann and others with Save the Scenic Santa Ritas.
