About the event
Every few months SSSR volunteers clean one mile of Highway 83 next to the Helvitia Lookout. Come pal around with your fellow dedicated Santa Rita Mountonians. From the lookout, you can see the beautiful valley that Hudbay wants to fill with mine tailings. We'll supply the plastic bags. You supply the enthusiasm! To get there, travel south on Highway 83 to Mile Post 44 and then exit into the turnout to the Helvitia Lookout on the right. Look for our Save the Scenic Santa Ritas banner. If you have trouble finding the place, call Rob at 970 201-7642.
