July, 2023: On the west side of the Santa Rita Mountains Hudbay has been building roads, bulldozing drilling pads, drilling holes and generally making a mess in a project area they are calling Copper World. You can take action today by letting your local elected officials know you are concerned about this devastation and Hudbay's plans to dig more than one massive pit on the west side.

Complete the form here to send a letter to local elected officials:

You might also consider submitting a letter to the editor of local newspaper or writing to local elected officials. There is contact information for some local papers farther down on this page. To look up contact information for your elected official, try this resource: https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials.

Our 2 most urgent tasks are below: to head off the Castro-Masto Senate bill 1281 and Hudbay's request that the state sell them state trust land where they can dump their toxic tailings piles. If you haven't already written to the key people below, please consider doing so today.
